Catie Baumer Schwalb
Catie Baumer Schwalb is a writer and photographer who splits her life between the big city and the bigger country.
Catie received her Master of Fine Arts from the National Theater Conservatory in Denver. After working as a playwright and actress for over a decade in New York City, she studied at the French Culinary Institute (now the International Culinary Center) where she received her Grand Diplôme in classic culinary arts. Catie's photography and writing have appeared in numerous publications including Green Door Magazine, Gourmet, Bon Appétit, The Guardian, as well as her blog Pitchfork Diaries.
Since 2018, Catie has partnered with recording artist Paul Burch on CATFISH & ONION, an education initiative that celebrates American culture through food and music.
When not in NYC, Catie lives with her husband and two young sous chefs in a rural town in Sullivan County, New York.
